The Landscape Design
The landscape design guides you and our production crew as we transform your property into your dream landscape.
Your design begins with a consultation and walkthrough of your personal or business property with one of our professional designers. The designer puts your vision into a detailed drawing, depicting necessary excavation, hardscapes (patios, retaining walls, walkways, garden beds, water or fire features), and highlighting the trees, shrubs and perennial flowers that will bring your landscape to life.
Accompanying your detailed design will be a complete estimate for installation of your landscape. When you give us the OK, Boulder Landscape and Design’s seasoned, supervised crews will schedule installation of your new landscape.
Design Tip: Putting You in Your Yard!
Your yard reflects your personality and relationship to the great Colorado outdoors. A broad patio and BBQ pit invites weekend get-togethers. Open lawns beg for yard games and family fun. Xeriscape gardens with walkways and secluded benches show you care about your outer and inner environment. Water features and woodsy plantings mirror a love of nature. The classic English garden speaks of elegance and romance.
If you’re improving your property this summer make a checklist for your “landscape” personality, from the practical to the fanciful. Who will be using the yard and how? How much time can you devote to maintenance – will you need automated irrigation, a lawn service and regular clean-ups, or will you do those chores yourself? What do you want your landscape to express? Do you prefer a subtle landscape or would you like to turn heads with a riot of color?
Will this be a “do it yourself” project or will you hire a landscape contractor? An established landscape company will service your job from start to finish, with in-house designers, seasoned planting crews, expert sprinkler installation, on-going maintenance service and proven experience with stonework, water features, xeriscaping or unique elements that express you in your landscape.
