Irrigation Technician

Job Summary:

Boulder Landscape & Design (BLD) has an opening for an Irrigation Technician with 3+ years of experience working with residential irrigation systems. This is a full-time position that includes benefits of take-home work truck, cell phone reimbursement, and bonus opportunities. This position will be paid an annual salary.

This BLD Irrigation Tech role requires great problem solving and communication skills in a fast paced, beautiful outdoor working environment. Each day brings a new variety. Training and education opportunities are consistently offered to help advance career.

Technicians operate both independently as well as with project installation crews.

Job Responsibilities:

Irrigation system assessment, troubleshooting, repair, installation, seasonal turn-ons and blow-outs, controller programming, and maintenance skills required.
Tracking and recording of hours and materials within administrative tracking systems.
Responsible for maintaining assigned truck and equipment, supplies and tools
Effective communication with customers, crews and venders.
Maintain consistent communication with scheduling manager and lead foreman.
Will work independently, as well as with crew.
On-call snow removal in winter

Skills and Requirements:

2-3 years of experience in irrigation service work, diagnosis and repair.
Comprehensive knowledge of irrigation systems: controllers, valves, and backflows, etc.
Identify, sell, and install irrigation system improvements.
Perform irrigation system seasonal turn-ons and winterization
blowouts, inspections, and adjustments, troubleshooting and repairs.
Perform adjustments, repairs or replacement of irrigation controllers and/or valves.
Identification and remediation of plant stress due to over or underwatering.
Professional demeanor with good customer service skills.
Good communication skills, written and verbal.
Ability to work independently.
Ability to lift 50+ lbs.
Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record
Experienced smartphone user
English speaking required, bi-lingual a plus.
Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Landscape Install Foreman

Job Summary:

We are seeking a landscape construction installation foreman with 3+ years’ experience in landscape installation & construction.

The Landscape Foreman oversees the construction and installation of high-quality outdoor spaces and landscapes. Responsibilities include managing and training crew members, supervising the use of equipment, ensuring safety guidelines and protocols are followed, and completing projects in a timely/efficient manner.

This full-time position works in close collaboration with, and reports to both the Foreman/Operations Manager and the Project Manager. This position directly supervises 2-4 crew members and interacts with vendors, subcontractors, and clients. This position is a year-round job.

Job Responsibilities:

Tracking and recording of hours and tasks for crew members within administrative tracking systems.
Responsible for maintaining assigned truck and equipment, supplies and tools.
Effective communication with customers, crews and vendors.
Maintain consistent communication with Foreman/Operational Manager.
Preferred technical experience in stone work, irrigation, paver installation

Skills and Requirements:

At least 3-year experience in landscape construction.
At least 2-year foreman/crew leader experience is required.
Crew leaders are required to manage crews of 2-4 team members.
Daily tasks may involve patio construction (Flagstone and pavers), water features, fire pits, perennial/tree planting, irrigation installation, sod/edging, rock/mulch, fence construction, etc.
Ability to lift 50+ lbs.
Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record

English speaking required, bi-lingual a plus.

Landscape Gardener

Job Summary:

We are looking for an energetic Landscape Gardener to join our landscape maintenance team. If you have a background in horticulture, have been a Plant Health Care Technician, Plant Scientist or Gardner, we would like to speak with you. This role will provide rewarding opportunities, above-average pay and growth opportunities.

We are looking for independent individuals with exceptional plant knowledge who will care for our client’s gardens. These are residential homes, small to medium-sized properties, many of which have landscapes that Boulder Landscape and Design designed, installed, and are maintaining. This job will be responsible for pruning, weeding, planting, and maintaining overall plant health for our customers.

If your only experience is mowing and trimming yards, this is NOT the position for you.

Job Responsibilities:

Perennial, shrub and small tree pruning
Hand weeding, pruning, deadheading, & watering
Planting of annuals, perennials, shrubs and trees
Analyzing and troubleshooting any unhappy plants
Plant fertilization
Minor irrigation repair & adjustments
Seasonal property clean ups
Cleanup of litter & debris

Skills and Requirements:

3+ years in landscape maintenance with an emphasis in plant health care
Horticulture background / expertise
High attention to detail in regards to plant maintenance and weed mitigation
Knowledge of irrigation maintenance/repairs
Some experience in Landscape Construction is a plus
Good client/homeowner relations with exceptional customer service skills
Driver’s License with a clean driving history is required
Ability to lift at least 50 lbs safely on one’s own.
Ability to communicate in English (Bilingual a plus)
Proactive, organized and reliable team player with positive attitude.
